Bethenny Frankel began the new season of the Real Housewives of New York mourning the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields, who passed away weeks before production started. Frankel has since moved on and found a new love in Paul Bernon. But how does Sonja Morgan feel about her co-star’s new man?

The RHONY star added that Bernon has been a great influence on Frankel and helped her get through a difficult time in life. According to Bravo TV, Morgan was afraid that Shields’ death would send Frankel into a deep depression, but having Bernon around prevented her from secluding herself.
Frankel also had to deal with a nasty custody battle with her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. As RHONY fans are well aware, Hoppy has a questionable history with Frankel and has been accused of stalking and exhibiting abusive behavior. Fortunately for Frankel, Bernon has been on hand to support her throughout the custody trial.
In fact, Bernon has been present at all of Frankel’s court dates. The movie producer and real estate mogul has sat at the back of the courtroom while Frankel makes her case for winning full custody of her child, Bryn. Bernon’s name even came up during one of the hearings when Frankel revealed that they started seeing each other in 2017.
Frankel met Bernon when she was taking a break from Shields. The RHONY star did not date Bernon long and left the relationship because she was not prepared for it. Frankel then returned to Shields, who proposed to her in the spring of 2018. The reality star rekindled her romance with Bernon around a month after Shields passed.
